Blacksmith shop

I'll spare you the details (you can check the <a href="http://hunts-upguide.com/keweenaw_bay_hanka_homestead.html">Hunts' Guide to the UP</a> for more) but, as you can see, there was a lot of stuff left behind when the last Hanka died in the mid 60's. What fascinated me most, through, was the combination of old and new. They had a phone in 1912--but had it removed in 1914 because it cost too much. They had cars by the early 20's. But the farm was never electrified.
