Eliot
Ever since Casey died in December, I've been promising Bill we'd get a new dog--but not till after I got back from Stockholm. I got back Thursday afternoon. Friday we put mom on a plane and Kati on the bus back to their respective homes. Saturday morning we were half-way to Milwaukee, waiting for the rescue group to arrive at the pet store so we could check out a dog we'd seen on Petfinder. Turns out that dog was already waiting to be seen by someone else, and didn't particularly like men, so we sat around playing with their other dogs. By two that afternoon we were back home with this one.. Champ is much too doggy a name for a pet whose destiny is to sit on the furniture and eat from our hands, so we re-named him Eliot.
