Tutle number 2
We accidentally interrupted this one while she was digging a nest in our yard. Can anyone explain that lump on her back? Might it be an egg?
Turtle 3 is not shown, but Casey found it laying eggs on the shoulder of Bass Lake Road. This time we made sure she could finish in peace.
Bill and Ted continued to see turtles the next week, including two more painted turtles in our yard and a couple of NYTimes Sunday paper sized snappers burying eggs at the East Branch of the Whitefish.
